What Are Hearings?

Hearings are scheduled court appearances linked to specific cases. Each hearing tracks:

Date and time
Location/courtroom
Linked case
Assigned judge
Bail decision (if applicable)
Related evidence

Navigate to Hearings

Click "Hearings" in the sidebar menu

Click "New Hearing"

Look for the button in the top right corner

Select the Case

Choose which case this hearing is for

Set Date and Time

Choose when the hearing will take place

Add Details

Specify location, type, and any notes

Save

The hearing will appear on the calendar

Viewing Hearings

Calendar View

See all hearings in a monthly calendar format. Click any hearing to view details.

List View

View hearings in a sortable list with filtering options. Useful for finding specific hearings.

Case View

When viewing a case, all related hearings are displayed in chronological order.

Managing Hearings

View Details

Click any hearing to see full details including date, location, and linked case

Edit Hearing

Update date, time, location, or judge assignment (with proper permissions)

Link Evidence

Attach evidence files specific to this hearing

Dashboard View

Upcoming hearings appear on your dashboard for quick access

Best Practices
  • Schedule hearings as soon as dates are confirmed
  • Include detailed location information (courtroom, building)
  • Add all participants who need to attend
  • Update hearing status promptly after conclusion
  • Attach transcripts as soon as they're available
